Please Note

-On Friday, April 4th, our 8th-grade class of 2025 will open up their own businesses to the school community, offering goods and services for students of all ages! Our 8th grade class will offer all sorts of business ventures ranging from monograms to karaoke. All proceeds from our Business Day will be donated to the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. Every class will be visiting 8th grade Business Day throughout the day this Friday. All goods and services are $5 and under.  They will have fun and support a great cause! 

-We will have our Unit 7 Week 3 reading test, and our money test, on Friday.

-Here are some important upcoming dates for First Grade to put on the calendar:

Tuesday, April 1 - $1.00 Dress Down Day

Wednesday, April 16 -Tuesday, April 22 - No School:  Easter Break

Wednesday, April 23 - Spring Uniform:  Please see the handbook for details

Friday, May 2nd - First Grade Mass at 9:00, Grandparents/Special Friends Day, NOON Dismissal

Tuesday, May 13 - May Procession 6:30

Friday, May 23 - Monday, May 26 - No School:  Memorial Day weekend

Monday, June 2nd - First Grade Donuts with Dads/Special Friends

Please Note

-We will begin our unit on money this week.  We will practice with coins in school, but ask that you do the same with real coins at home.  They will need to count quarters, dimes, nickels, and pennies.  We will work up to counting piles of mixed coins to $1.00.  We sort the coins and begin counting the coins that are worth the most and work down to the least.

-We will not test reading this week because Friday is a day off for the kids, but please still practice their words.

Please Note

-We had so much fun talking about our leprechaun traps today! Thank you for the thought and time you put into this fun first-grade project.  Their creativity and engineering skills blew me away. I have no idea how we didn’t catch a leprechaun!  Maybe next year…

-Today begins the 3rd Trimester.  I also have no idea how this is.  The year is flying by.  Test folders will come home this week, and report cards will be sent home next week.

-We will have our graphing assessment and our Unit 7 Week 1 test on Friday.
