Please Note

- Each child received a pencil grip to help them hold the pencil correctly.  We call the method "2 Pinchers and 3 Resters" in the classroom.  They also received a grip to take home.  Please have them keep this grip in a safe place at home to use for homework, especially if you notice they are in need of correction.  For some, it will be a hard habit to break!!!  A few were already holding the pencil correctly but received a grip anyway.
Right handed friends will place their thumb on the star and their index finger on the dot with their three other fingers resting underneath.  Left handed friend will place their index finger on the star and their thumb on the dot with their three other fingers resting underneath.  Thanks for you help with this at home!
