- We will have a test on time on Tuesday.  A review will be sent home for homework tonight.  Anyone leaving early for vacation can take the test when we return.

- Spring break starts Wednesday, 3/21 and students return to school on Wednesday, 4/7!

-The kids did a great job taking their Terra Nova tests! I am proud of how hard they focused each morning over the long week. 

-Their creativity and engineering skills blew me away when they built their traps. We had so much fun putting them together and sharing them with the class. Lucky the Leprechaun even stopped by while we were at lunch! Check out the pictures of the traps below. 

- We will have our Monthly Mass on Tuesday at 9:00am. 

- Report cards will be sent home tomorrow. You may keep the report card at home. Please sign and return only the envelope.

- Wednesday is a dress down day! Please send in $1.00 to dress down.

Week of March 15, 2021

- Happy Terra Nova week! We will be taking different parts of the test each day. We will follow the schedule sent home last week.  If they did not bring them today, please make sure the kids have a few sharpened #2 pencils and a good eraser each day for the test.

- Today is the beginning the third and final trimester.

- Test folders will be sent home Monday. Please sign and return on Tuesday.

- We will still work with "The Big Trip", the long e spelling words and the sight words that were introduced last week, however we will not be testing due to the Terra Nova tests.

- There will be no homework this week.  Getting to bed early should be easier this way. :)

-  We will be building our leprechaun traps this week and hopefully we will catch one on Wednesday! Thanks so much for sending in the supplies.

Week of March 8, 2021

Please Note

- There will be math test on money on Thursday. We will review all week and a review will be sent home for homework on Wednesday.

- Leprechaun Trap boxes and materials are due next Monday, 3/15! Please place all materials in your child's box. We will be building them in school!

- Friday will be an asynchronous day for students. I will send you the work to complete on Thursday night.

- We will continue reviewing for the Terra Nova tests that will be taken next week.  A schedule and some tips for taking standardized tests will be sent home today. If you could make sure you child has a few #2 pencils ready for next wee that would be great too! 

- Our yearbook staff is in desperate need of collage pictures and we need your help! Please send pictures of your child from this year - can be school-related or outside of school, group and individual. We are asking for parents to email pictures by March 15th to sksyearbook@sksschool.org and to please label the email with what grade your child is in. It will help us organize the collage pages. We really appreciate your help!!

Week of March 1, 2021

Happy Birthday, Shayna!

Can you believe it is March? This Thursday will be our 100th day of school! We will do a few fun activities on Thursday/Friday to celebrate. This year, it truly is an accomplishment! The next two weeks we will be working hard reviewing long vowels, learning about money and preparing for the Terra Nova tests which will be taken the week of 3/15.  


Here are the reminders for this week:

- If you did not send in coins with your child, please do so. (4 quarters, 10 dimes, 20 nickels and 25 pennies).

- Test folders will be sent home Tuesday. Please sign and return on Wednesday.

- There will be a Religion test on Chapter 11 on Thursday. A study guide was sent home today.

- There will be a Reading and Spelling test on Friday.

- Don't forget to have your child look up some leprechaun traps and start gathering the materials that they will need to build their own the week of 3/15!
