Week of March 1, 2021

Happy Birthday, Shayna!

Can you believe it is March? This Thursday will be our 100th day of school! We will do a few fun activities on Thursday/Friday to celebrate. This year, it truly is an accomplishment! The next two weeks we will be working hard reviewing long vowels, learning about money and preparing for the Terra Nova tests which will be taken the week of 3/15.  


Here are the reminders for this week:

- If you did not send in coins with your child, please do so. (4 quarters, 10 dimes, 20 nickels and 25 pennies).

- Test folders will be sent home Tuesday. Please sign and return on Wednesday.

- There will be a Religion test on Chapter 11 on Thursday. A study guide was sent home today.

- There will be a Reading and Spelling test on Friday.

- Don't forget to have your child look up some leprechaun traps and start gathering the materials that they will need to build their own the week of 3/15!

Our Week

Religion

We will finish Chapter 11 and have a test on Thursday. We will continue to learn about the Stations of the Cross.

Grammar: questions

Sight Words: around, should, before, bring, carry, light, show, think, beautiful, tools 

Spelling Words: hole, stove, bone, rope, poke, blue, true, clue, suit, fruit


Math

We will begin our unit on money this week! We will learn to identify the coins and how much they are worth and practice counting. If you practice at home remember to start counting with the coins and that are worth the most.
