Week of March 23, 2026

 Please Note

-I was so grateful to Mrs. D’Agostino for stepping in on Saint Patrick’s Day while I was experiencing travel delays.  I was so bummed to miss their traps in person, but she was kind enough to capture pictures of all of their leprechaun traps, and I loved hearing all about them when I finally made it back.

-Thank you for my shamrock bouquet of scratch-offs.  Ironically, my lucky card was finding the leprechaun!!!

-Here are some important upcoming dates for First Grade to put on the calendar:

  • Wednesday, April 1 -Monday, April 6 - No School:  Easter Break

  • Tuesday, April 7 - Spring Uniform:  Please see the handbook for details

  • Friday, May 1st - Grandparents/Special Friends Day, NOON Dismissal

  • Tuesday, May 12 - May Procession 6:30

  • Thursday, May 14 - First Grade School Mass 9:00

  • Friday, May 22 - Monday, May 25 - No School:  Memorial Day weekend

  • Friday, May 29th - First Grade Donuts with Dads/Special Friends

- Every year, the 8th grade students and their parents share a treasured rite of passage: the annual 8th Grade Party - thrown by parents (as a SURPRISE!) for their 8th graders! It's the responsibility of the 8th graders and their parents to fundraise for this event - with all leftover funds going directly back to the school via a cash or physical donation (such as the SKS Step and Repeat). The 8th graders are unaware of the party theme until the day of the party, when they walk over to the gym together for the big unveiling! This year's BIG fundraiser is a 50/50 raffle! Winner must keep the winnings! The raffle closes on May 1st at 3 PM. Raffle tickets are $20 each. Raffles can be purchased through Venmo @SKS-8th_grade-raffle (include your name and number) or the good old-fashioned way by cash or check. Flyers are attached for more information. Please feel free to pass along to family and friends!! The pot is growing!!!

-Please see the following messages from the office:

πŸ’–  Food Free Valentines -- If your students are sharing Valentines, please choose food free Valentines to ensure that everyone can enjoy safely -- especially those with dietary needs or allergies. This also avoids "sugar rushes" here at school and keeps the focus entirely on the heart of the holiday: kindness, friendship and inclusion! Thank you for your cooperation!

πŸ’–On February 12th,  students are invited to show their spirit by adding some festive flair to their school uniform- maybe a pop of pink, a radiant red, or a sprinkle of sparkles.

-No school on Friday, February 13th or Monday, February 16th.
