Week of January 2nd


Please Note

- I hope you all had a wonderful holiday and that your new year is off to a great start. I also want to thank each and every one of you for your kindness and generosity to me all of the teachers here at SKS. We are truly a lucky faculty.

- The kids checked their school supplies today to see if they need any new ones. Please check with them and see what they need. Thanks!

- There will be a Dress Down Day on Friday. Please send in $1.00 to dress down.


- We are also collecting donations for a service project on Martin Luther King Day. First Grade is collecting deodorant.

Our Week

Religion

We will have our Chapter 5 test on Friday. We will also begin Chapter 8, "Jesus Had Many Followers".

Grammar: Statements and Commands

Math

We will continue our unit on subtraction this week. We will begin to see how addition and subtraction are related by using related subtraction facts, related addition and subtraction facts, and adding to check subtraction in preparation for working with fact families.
