- There will be a Religion test of Chapter 4 on Thursday. A study guide will be sent home today.

- Test Folders will be sent home on Wednesday.  Please sign and return.

Our Week

Religion
We will continue working on Chapter 4 this week and learn about Jesus and his work among the people.

Reading
Story: "A Cupcake Party"
Target Skill: Story Structure (characters, setting, plot)
Phonics Skill: Short u sound and final blends -mp -nt, -nd, -st, -sk
Grammar: using a, an and the. Synonyms and antonyms
Sight Words: eat, give, one, put, small, take, sing, all does, they
Spelling Words: us, sun, bus, but, run, dust, jump, truck

Math
We will continue our unit on addition. We will practice adding but using ten frames and number lines.  We will practice using 'tricks' when solving addition problems (doubles, doubles plus one, counting on from the larger number.)  We will also work with adding 3 addends.
