Please Note
-We will begin our unit on money this week. We will practice with coins in school, but ask that you do the same with real coins at home. They will need to count quarters, dimes, nickels, and pennies. We will work up to counting piles of mixed coins to $1.00. We sort the coins and begin counting the coins that are worth the most and work down to the least.
-We will not test reading this week because Friday is a day off for the kids, but please still practice their words.
-Here are some important upcoming dates for First Grade to put on the calendar:

We will begin our unit on money this week. We will learn to identify coins and their worth and practice counting coins up to $1.00. When practicing at home, remember to start counting with the coins that are worth the most and count on from there.
