Week of January 29, 2018

- There will be a Religion test on Chapter 10 on Friday. A study guide will be sent home.


- For Valentine's Day we will decorate bags in school to put valentines in. Please do not
send in any boxes. Also, please remember that no candy is to be attached to valentines.


Catholic Schools Week Schedule


Monday - "Learn"
- Spelling Bee for grades K-4 from 1:15-2:15 in the gym. We will be cheering on Alex!!!


Tuesday - "Serve"
- We have assemblies from the Radnor police and fire fighters, Jenna's Blessings Bags,
Cradles to Crayons, St. Edmond's Home and make cards for them.


Wednesday - "Lead"
- In the afternoon we will do STEM activities with our buddies!
- We will also say a decade of the rosary with our buddies in Church.


Thursday - Crazy 8s Day!
- Students can accessorize their gym uniform with 8 crazy items! Socks, hats, etc.
- We will also play Minute to Win it Games


Friday - Spirit Day!
- Students can wear blue and white to school or EAGLES gear!
- Student vs Teacher basketball game
- 12:00 pm dismissal


* All week we will be collecting cans for the Souper Bowl of Caring Collection. *

Week of January 16, 2018

Please Note


- Sorry there was not a blog last week with reminders.  As a result, we had 5 students dressed down
on a mass day.  In the future, please keep in kind that the children are not permitted, as policy from
the front office, to dress down on mass days.  Thanks!


- SKS will be participating in Jump Rope for Heart with the American Heart Association. Information
about the program will be sent home today.


- Test folders will be sent home Thursday.  Please sign and return on Friday


-Wednesday is a Dress Down Day. Please send in $1.00 on Wednesday so I can send the collection
to the office.  The children should wear their gym uniform on Wednesday as usual and can then
dress down on Thursday instead.


- There will be a Chapter 9 Religion test on Friday. A study guide will be sent home today.


- SKS Trivia night will be Saturday in the Parish Center!

Week of January 3, 2018

-  I just wanted to take a minute to thank you all very much for your generosity over the Christmas season.  Your thoughtfulness is appreciated!  I hope you had a fun and relaxing break with your families.

-  In picking up where we left off before break, we will have our reading test for How Leopard Got His Spots this Friday.  We will review in class but if you have a minute please review at home AGAIN.  So sorry we never got to this before break!

Week of December 18, 2017

- No written homework this week! Please be sure to read How Leopard Got His
Spots and review the sight and spelling words.  Our test will be Wednesday.


- Thursday is our bowling trip with our 8th grade buddies! Please make sure
your child has a morning snack or money for a pretzel that they can take to
eat at the alley. Pizza will be provided for lunch when we get back from
bowling. Please refrain from sending in gifts for buddies. We made them
Christmas cards :)


- Thursday is a dress down day. Please send in $1.00 to dress down.  
If your child doesn't dress down they can wear their gym uniform to school
since we will be going on our field trip.

- School resumes on Wednesday, January 3rd!

Week of December 11, 2017




Please Note

- Report cards will be sent home Tuesday. Please sign the envelope and send it back. The report card can stay at home.


- The K-4 Christmas Show will be Wednesday night at 7:00pm in the Church. Please have your child in the Parish Center no later than 6:40pm. They are to dress in their "Christmas Best." Please no jeans or sneakers. You can pick your child up after the concert in their pew.


- If you have not sent in the permission form and money for the bowling trip please do so. Right now I only have 3 chaperones I could use one or two more. Please let me know if you are interested.  Chaperones will meet at Sproul Lanes at 9:30.  We will leave at 11:30.  Sorry, no siblings, please!


-We will have a Religion test on Chapter 8 on Friday. A study guide will be sent home today.


- Our reading and spelling test for How a Leopard Got His Spots will be next Wednesday.


- We will have a subtraction test the Friday after our break.


- Please ask your child to check their art supplies and pencil cases. Many kids are in need of new markers, pencils,  homework folders, etc. These items might make great stocking stuffers!

Please Note

- The second trimester begins today. Report cards will be sent home sometime next week.


- The permission slip for our bowling field trip will be sent home today. Please return the permission form and payment ($20 cash/check) by Monday, December 11. I will need 5 chaperones to meet us at Sproul Lanes from 9:30 - 11:30. If you would like to be in the drawing please email me by this Wednesday. Thanks!


- We will be going to Santa's Secret Shop on Tuesday at 1:30pm. Please send your child's envelope in by Tuesday marked with who they are buying for and approximately how much to spend on each person. If you would like to come in and help your child shop that is fine!


- We will have a reading and spelling test on the story "At Home in the Ocean" on Thursday this week.


- There is no school on Friday.


- Please ask your child to check their art supplies and pencil cases. Many kids are in need of new markers, pencils,  etc. These items might make great stocking stuffers!


- A reminder that next Wednesday, December 13th is the K-4 Christmas Concert. It begins at 7:00pm in the Church. Students are to wear their "Christmas" best and you are asked to drop them off at the Parish Center at 6:30pm.
