Week of January 7, 2019

Welcome back to our first full week of 2019!

Please Note

- We will review short vowels and have a test on Friday.

- There will be a Chapter 8 Religion test on Friday. A study guide will be sent home today.

- Picture re-takes are on Wednesday.

- We will start practicing timed math this week. This will not be graded and is only meant to get the kids ready and comfortable for when they do it next year.

- For MLK Day (1/21) SKS will be having a day of service from 10:00 am -12:00 pm in the cafeteria. All are welcome to volunteer! First grade has been asked to send in individually wrapped toothbrushes and toothpaste. If you would like to to donate you can send them in any time before Monday, 1/21. Thanks for your help!

- Friday will be a free Eagles dress down day! GO BIRDS!

This week we will review addition, subtraction, fact families and word problems. Next week we start our unit on place value. We will also start practicing timed math and continue throughout the year.
