- Saint reports are due this Wednesday, October 8th.

- The permission form for the 1st-grade field trip to Riverbend Preserve is available in the link below. The $23 trip fee was invoiced on 10/3 via email through your FACTS account under incidental billing.

1st grade Field Trip to Riverbend Environmental - Permission Form

-Both the payment and permission form must be submitted for your child to attend the trip.  Please contact Anne Condello if you have any issues.

- We have our monthly mass on Friday at 9:00 a.m. All are welcome to join us!  Please remember that there are no dress-downs on Mass days.

- School pictures will be next Wednesday, October 15th. They should wear their winter uniforms. The forms will be sent home at some point this week. Please send in your forms or complete them online.

A Peek at Our Week

Religion

We will continue Chapter 3, "Jesus Grew Up in a Family". We will learn about the birth of Jesus and the Holy Family. We will share our Saint Reports.

Reading

Unit: Many Kinds of Characters 

Target Skill: Sequence of events, story elements, making inferences

Phonics Skill: short e

Grammar: Complete sentences, subject-verb agreement

Sight Words: look, are, said, to, my

Spelling Words: ten, men, pen, fed, bed, let, met, wet

Math

We will finish up our addition unit this week. We will focus on adding 3 addends and finding doubles and sums of ten. We will also work with addition word problems. There will be a test this Thursday on adding with a number line, related turn-around facts, adding three addends, and word problems.
