Please Note

- Thanks for supporting our garden fundraiser last week! We raised enough money to get
our indoor garden started! Stay tuned for more details!

- Wednesday is a dress down day for Speak Up. Please send in $1.00 on Wednesday so
we can turn the donations in to the office.  Our class will dress down on Friday due to Gym
and Go Run.

- We will have a math test (identifying and counting coins up to a dollar) on Thursday.

- There will be a reading and spelling test on Friday this week.

Please have your child gather coins in a bag or change purse to practice using real

coins at home.  They should be able to count mixed coins up to one dollar. Please

have them practice sorting coins in order from greatest amount to least (Q, D, N, P)

and then count how much money.  We will practice the same way with pretend coins

in school.

be selling popsicles for $1.00 this week to help raise the funds needed to begin.

- Welcome to Terra Nova week!  We will be taking different parts of the test each day.

- Report cards will be sent home tomorrow. Please sign and return the envelope. The
report card can stay home.

- There will be no homework this week.  Please keep in mind that we will have our
reading and spelling test for The Big Trip next Tuesday and review words and story as
needed.

- On Wednesday, the kids are allowed to accessorize their school uniform with crazy
socks to celebrate Rock Your Socks Day for World Down Syndrome Day. Donations are
welcome but not required.

Please Note

We will continue reviewing for the Terra Nova tests that will be taken next week.  A schedule

and some tips for taking standardized tests will be sent home this week. Attached to the

schedule will be a blank letter. I ask that you please write your child an encouraging note

that they will read Monday morning before we start the tests. This will hopefully calm any

nerves that they may have. Please send the letter in by Friday at the latest. Thanks for your

help with this :)

- There is a Home & School meeting on Tuesday night at 7:00 pm on Technology Awareness.

- There will be a Math activity as assessment on graphing on Tuesday.

- On Wednesday we will doing a Science lesson with Google Expeditions using Virtual Reality

goggles. Be sure to ask your child about it Wednesday night!

- There will be a Religion test on Friday on Chapter 12. A study guide will be sent home.

- Leprechaun traps are due on Friday! Please have your child practice talking about how their

trap works because they will be presenting it to the class!
