I hope you enjoyed the long weekend! Here are some reminders for the short week:
- If you haven't bought a ticket to Leap for SKS yet please do. It is going to be a great event!
- Test folders will be sent home Thursday. Please sign and return Friday.
- 8th Grade Business Day is tomorrow. The price range of the businesses is $1.00-$3.00. If you would like to send in money for your child please do so in a labeled envelope or baggie. No food or drink will be sold. All proceeds go to Dan's Down Dog and Dash.
- There will be a reading and spelling test on Friday. This is the last story in Unit 3. We will begin a new reader and workbook next week.
- Health screenings will be next Monday (2/24). Mrs. Manion sent home an email last week explaining. Please let me know if you have any questions.

- We had a great time celebrating Catholic Schools Week! Check out some of the pictures.
- Thank you for all of your love and support for the Mittman family during this difficult time. We will continue to pray and be there for them in the days and weeks to come.
- Sorry I forgot to send home the test folders last week. They will be sent home on Wednesday. Please sign and return on Thursday.
- We will be decorating bags in school this week to use in school as our 'Valentine's Day Mailbox'. We will celebrate Valentine's Day on Thursday, February 13th since we have off on Valentine's Day. If you would like to send valentines in early please make sure you send them in a labeled bag. Please remember that no candy is allowed with valentines.

Day 1 of Catholic Schools Week Fun!
Please Note
Happy Catholic Schools Week! We have a very busy week with lots of activities going on. Please refer to the schedule that was sent home from the office last week to stay on top of things. My gift to you (and me) is no homework this week expect for reviewing sight words and spelling words (our test will be NEXT week) and studying for a math test. There will be enough time spent at home choosing outfits each day, I am sure.
Tuesday - Crazy 8s Day - accessorize your uniform with 8 items
Wednesday - dress down in red
Thursday - dress as your favorite book or movie character
Friday - dress in blue and white
- Please remember to send in a canned good throughout the week for the Souper Bowl of Caring.
- Test folders will be sent home Tuesday. Please sign and return Wednesday.
- There will be a math test on Thursday on Place Value. They will have to find the value of digits in the tens and ones places and write numbers out in expanded form. We will be practicing all week in school. Please review any worksheets that come home each night.
- We will have a Religion test on Chapter 9 on Friday, but we will take it together and they may use their books.

- On Tuesday and Wednesday, the 7th grade will be selling popsicles ($1.00) and raffle tickets ($.50 each or 3/$1.00) to win gift baskets to raise money for Ryan's Cases for Smiles. It is a local organization that helps families with children who are fighting cancer. https://caseforsmiles.org/
-Wednesday is a Dress Down Day for Ryan's Cases for Smiles. Please send in $1.00 to dress down.
- On Thursday, group pictures for yearbook will be taken. Please do not dress down on this day.
